Reflecting on the changes implemented to the Carpenter Center’s architectural, digital, and social spaces during my tenure as director, situating the work within an expanded notion of curatorial practice.
The book is the product of a collaboration between the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig and the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna on a series of lectures and an exhibition titled Broken Relations: Infrastructure and Interruption in Leipzig, which continued to Vienna taking the name Conditions and Frameworks: Infrastructure as Form and Medium. The project culminated in the conference Broken Relations: Infrastructure, Aesthetics, and Critique to which I contributed a talk and the essay in this book.
